Description:
CoaguLife provides college scholarships to deserving students with inherited bleeding disorder such as hemophilia or von Willabrand disease. Applicants may seek a variety of degrees as offered by accredited colleges, universities and technical schools. Scholarships awards are competitive based on the applicants academic success, a written essay, goals and community service. Applications are judged and scholarships awarded by an independent committee. Scholarship recipients must make adequate academic progress and participate in hemophilia organization community service during the award period.

Scholarships, up to $5,000 in value, are available for students residing and attending school anywhere in the 50 states. The number of scholarships awarded and the value of each will be determined by the scholarship Selection Committee. This Scholarship program places particular emphasis on community service and leadership.

All Applicants must:
1) Have Hemophilia, von Willebrand’s disease or similar inherited bleeding disorder (documentation required).
2) Be a graduating high school senior, or graduate entering college/university/trade school in the year the scholarship is applied for or be a current student attending an appropriate
college/university/trade school.
3) Provide transcripts from high school (past 2 years or 4 semesters) and all college/university/trade schools attended.
4) Demonstrate leadership ability through community service and volunteer activities.
5) Submit a brief essay selecting one of the three choices of topics provided on the Scholarship Application.
6) Provide three letters of recommendation (not from family members).
